Sunflower seed butter
Sunflower is a popular plant grown especially for to be used as animal food or to be processed as industrial vegetable oil. But there is another – more innovative – way to obtain the oil content of the sunflower seeds: the pure mechanical cold-pressing. Since the production with this method is very effective, there is no need to use any additives, preservatives or chemicals during the process. The cold- pressing allows all the natural ingredients to stay in the final product, and it results in a very healthy, nutritious and tasty vegetable oil. The production process of the Grapoila oils means a special Zero Waste conctept where all the created by-products are made use of and further processed, instead of letting it to go waste. One of the byproducts is the the nutritious dry materrial, the pellets, that are milled, sieved and sold as seed flours.
Another valuable press residue is the oil mud formig during the settlement of the oil. The thick oil butter has a high cold-pressed oil content and it also contains the fine microparts of the seeds, making it rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and fibre as well as in vegan protein.

It harmonises with sour cream (joghurt, cheese cream), onions, grilled paprika, tomato sauce, dried tomatos, ruccola, lemon juice, mustard, salt, pepper, cumin, thyme, oregano, turmeric.
The Grapoila sunflower seed butter is a cerified gluten free product fitting well and safely in vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and paleolit diets. Organic version also available.
