Apple porridge with walnut oil Dessert Gluten free Quick Vegetarian

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp oatmeal (finely rolled)
  • 1,5 dl water
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 tsp honey
  • 1-2 tsp walnut oil
  • 1 dl natural yoghurt (Greek if available) (or milk, to taste)
  • 1 small apple (150 g)

Bring the water to the boil with the cinnamon (you can add a pinch of salt, I don’t use it in my kids’), add the oatmeal and cook, stirring, over a low heat until the oatmeal absorbs the water and softens (3-4 minutes). Remove from the heat, add the honey and grate in the apple. I scoop into bowls, mix in yoghurt (milk for the older child) and nut oil.
